Jessica's Law

I started a project with my friends to find out the law of Arkansas on sex offenders and to find out the details of the Jessica Lunsford Act. I was hoping to someone get other people involved in this and hopefully our state government would pass a law similar to Jessica's Law, if needed (based on the information I find on Arkansas's Law).
So there's lots of information I need and I was wondering if anyone knew something or where I could get this information. I need to know details on the Jessica Lunsford Act (I found a website. I hope it's reliable), details on Arkansas's law for sex offenders (found a website, yet again. I hope it's reliable. ), how to make a petition, who to send it to, how many signatures should be on it, and so on.

DOES ANYONE WANT TO HELP?!!!

Thank you,

Whitney

I got to watch Green Day Live at Irving Plaza (?) on FUSE. I got cheated because it was the second time I saw it. It wasn't live!! Those... bastards! hehe

Anyways, THEY ARE REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD!!! really good live. First of all, they sound just as great live as they do on the CD. But Billie Joe was very entertaining! VERY entertaining. I wish I could see them play. But damn it!! come to AR!!! What?! You think living just 6 hrs away from Dallas is cheap?! What?! First, you have to buy the tickets, then gas money, then hotel (unless you choose to sleep in the car, I've down that before... in a foreign country too). Yeeeaaa....

I've been watching the Making of Green Day American Idiot and so on. They are so hilarious. Love 'em! Love 'em!

Note my three favorite musicians/bands:

Elvis Presley, Nirvana, Green Day .... they started or were at least at the beginning of a new kind of rock 'n roll. Began rock, grunge, punk....

Ooookay...all done now...

LOVE YA

PROPAGANDA!!! I watched the news for a day and wrote down the propaganda.

FOX:

Democrat Propaganda:

Sen. Breaux:
"Could've contained Saddam without going to war."

Not necessarily propaganda but just one question: HOW?! Because that'd be nice but HOW?

Conservative: (You judge if it's propaganda, I don't think it is)

"Starting to achieve economic stability

*oil sector recovering strongly - production is approaching pre-war levels of 2.5 million barrels a day

See a difference? Opinion. No opinion.

Khalizad: (on the consitution) "broad agreements on most issues" "details still need to be worked out"

And he was actually there!!

CNN:

Ali Velshi: "the price of gas and oil now is actually hurting people"

Explain how and I might agree. Right now, lost.

President Bush's summer reading list

LMAO!! Ran out of news? It's funny how they try to portray Prez Bush as dumb, when he had a higher GPA than Kerry.

Accusing US of wanting the constitution more than Iraqis

It was a question made by Wolf Blitzer (excuse me if I don't spell his name right). Something like "Doesn't it seem like the US wants the constitution more than the Iraqis do?". Most of his questions are suggestive. It's not "What do you think about the constitution?" NOOO. Also, the US needs to set an example of democracy and make sure that it doesn't turn out like an Islamic Republic. Also, about 95% Iraqis (according to the troops) support us and want this!! All the disagreements between the Iraqis with dissolve in the future. But we need to do this now. Just like when we freed the slaves, made them citizens, gave them the right to vote. It took awhile for the civil rights movement to come around but it did.

Wolf: "FAILURE to come up with a constitution." and below it says "Iraq Constitution Fallout"

That's the problem with setting deadlines. People like to make a big deal. CNN is just so happy to emphasize 'FAILURE' and connect it somehow with the Bush administration. Like they care about the constitution...

Paul Begala: (about Cindy Sheehan) "Pres. has underplayed his cards.....He should've learned better manners."

LOL hahaha... ok ok ok so he met with her once and I think it would be nice if he met with her again and just take the heat to shut everyone up about it. Better manners? haha....He's the President!! He's even working on his vacation!!

Conservative Greg Mueller about Cindy Sheehan: "went from a grieving mother to being utilized by the Democrats"

I agree but you can't really judge Cindy 'cause her son died...in Iraq.

Paul Begala: "[the President's] actions have allowed some right wing kooks to runover 50 crosses, 50 American flags representing 50 fallen American troops. And the President is to blame"

MY COMPUTER IS MESSED UP!!! DAMN BUSH!!! HE FUCKED UP MY COMPUTER! GRRRR

The runover the crosses thing... absolutely uncalled for. I'm sorry to those who knew the people written on the crosses.

Mistaking babies for terrorists:

*names similar to terrorists

*But what they did not emphasize: TSA is now connecting birthdates with names; simple misunderstanding

They are trying to make you think that we are stopping babies, that everything is getting out of hand. It's just a simple misunderstanding.

I can't wait until he's out of office! I know he's Republican, but I still don't like him.
Since, he lost all that weight, he's gone nuts on this health crap. No doubt, I think people should eat healthy too, but Gov. Huck is getting the government a bit more involved than I'd like.
He's set certain health guidelines or what-not for schools. But instead of serving healthier food, they just serve less food. This year, I'm going to keep a record of the food served in our cafeteria (our newspaper does weekly lunch menus for our town and surrounding towns.... kind of kewl).
Next, he makes us take BMI tests. They are completely inaccurate. They just take your height, weight, and age and calculate it in to compare to an average number. There's no point in making the girls with muscles cdry because they think they're overweight. Besides, can't you tell for yourself if you're overweight or not? And it'sup to them to decide if they care. One thing he needs to understand is that you can't control what a person eats. But you can educate them and hopefully they will CHOOSE to eat healthier food.

Here is the letter to the editor that I was telling you about:

Who Votes Republican

All the people who really like war and want their sons and daughters in battle should vote Republican. All who like the extreme costs of prescription drugs or that the bumber of Americans without health insurance has risen should vote Republican.

All who like the current gas prices should vote Republican. All who think the country should continue into excessive debt should vote Republican.

All wh enjoy the fact that that big corporations are running the country, and should be allowed to rip off their workers should vote Republican, and if you belive that these corporations should operate from off-shore accounts to avoid paying taxes, you should vote Republican.

All who like losing their civil rights and having the government constantly getting into their private affairs should vote Republican (hah.. kiss my ass.. *cough* sorry..). All who like higher unemployment should vote Republican (that is definitely a liberal statement. The government should not have to take care of you like that. It is that kind of mindset that will ruin the economy. Where's your self pride?!!!) All who believe criticizing government officials is treasonous should vote Republican.

All who believe that no Democrat can be Christian should vote Republican. All who cannot see through all the Republican propaganda (I actually laughed at that. What the hell does he call this whole letter? lol... ) and hypocrisy that is used to cover all the lies and wrongs that they espouse should vote Republican. All who believe that lying about a sexual encounter is worse than invading a foreign nation based on [faulty intelligence] should vote Republican (Oh right.. and giving info about how to make nuclear weapons to China was good on Clinton's part? .... Iraq/9-11 connection http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/005/804yqqnr.asp ).

However, if [you] want to take the government out of the hands of the corporate royalty that bought the Bush presidency, then by all means vote the Republicans out of office.

If you are good at complaining and reiterating other people's exaggerations and accusations, become a Democrat. No... what I mean is, I want people to say what they would do, and if you accuse another party of something, to be able to explain in details. Then I will respect your argument. For example, exactly how will Prez Bush's plan ruin Social Security? With these known facts included: 1) You can choose whether or not you want to privatize your accounts 2) the Democrats' calculator that is supposed to show how Prez Bush's plan rips you off is rigged http://www.factcheck.org/article.aspx?docID=319

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Minoritize"

New word: minoritize. Self explanatory. It explains what the liberals do. At first glance, it's not bad. It actually seems morally correct. Like I said, liberals are nice people, or well at least the ones I know. They want to help the minorities be heard. Okay... But then this "minoritizing" turns into reverse discrimination. It is now a law for companies to hire a diverse employee staff. They meet their certain percentages of how many whites, blacks, hispanics..... Same for colleges. Then it's not fair. That is not fair for the ones who may be more skilled than the one that was hired because it met the percentage. Why must we "minoritize"? That is discriminating too. We must be equal. No favoring. You judge a person by who they are as a person. You hire a person because of their skills. You give a person a scholarship because they meet the standards. The minorities don't need to be represented. They shouldn't even be 'minorities'. This is America. Everyone is capable of doing whatever the next man can do. Of course, there are the exceptions of the mental or physicial barriers. I'm not being racist. I'm being equal.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jobless?

My dad just hired a woman who has four children and her husband left her. She's going to work and go to school at the same time and her oldest child (18) is helping pay the bills. She is not and does not want to be on Welfare. Kudos to her! Why can't people be more like her, with self pride? Not to take charity from the government?

Now where are all those jobless people? My dad needs to hire about ten people to run machines and he hasn't found one. He put a newspaper ad in Texas, Tennessee, and Arkansas and on Monsterjobs.com . One response with no experience. Of course, you should be willing to move if you were to take this job. But if you're not, then you must not need the job so badly. Please, tell me if the unemployed are really trying to find jobs.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't really go to sleep. I don't know why..... oh well...

Ciao and Good Night to all! Comments are welcome!

My friend came over to my house yesterday and wanted to watch Phantom of the Opera. Lawdy! The first time I watched it, I got bored and annoyed but still kind of liked the storyline. Watching it a second time, not too bad. But it's what happens after you watch it that gets annoying. I have the @!$%!#% songs stuck in my @!%#%# head!!! I can't sing either so that really doesn't help!!! ... "In sleep he sings to me, in dreams he came. The voice that sings to me, and calls my name.
Tomorrow, I want to post a letter to the Editor of one of Arkansas's newspapers. It's a list of people who should vote Republican. It's supposed to be dissing the Bush Administration and such. I have two things to say:
1.) I don't believe half of the accusations. Where are the real facts? People need to find facts and quit spitting out what they hear and pretending it's their own opinion.

2.) Why do people think that it is convincing to moderate people to tell what's wrong with the opposing party, which includes varied amounts of propaganda, rather than telling what they support or what they would or are going to do?
I may not support some liberal ideas, but I haven't put them down. I may have corrected some false accusations or rumors of theirs, but I wouldn't put down their basic ideas. I wouldn't make up or exaggerate facts about them to benefit myself and my party. If I want to convince someone that my solution is better, I wouldn't convince them by saying the other party is wrong. Since when do parties have to be right or wrong? The main difference between liberals and conservatives is the way we approach a problem. There are others of course. Neither party can necessarily be wrong but one solution can be better than the other on a certain issue. The people of America need to start saying what they stand for, what they are going to do or would do, not what the other party has done wrong. Not to be negative towards Democrats, but mainly what I have been hearing is what the Bush Administration has done wrong. I believe I have an open mind, I try. I just want to hear what they would do in the Bush Administration's place, in details. If I agree with it, then I'll support it. If not, then I won't. I'm not necessarily glued to a party, but I haven't heard what the Democrats would do and therefore, I haven't been given a chance to consider the opposing party's ideas to be better.

So, if you don't like the way the Bush Administration is handling things, tell me what you would do.

Global Warming is .... Good?
I ran into an artificial intelligence scientist (probably one of the smartest people I will ever talk to, you could tell he was trying to dumb himself down) on my vacation to D.C. He was explaining how about every 12 million years, an ice age comes around and almost all living beings are totally wiped out. In fact, we are due for an ice age right now, but it hasn't occurred. There is a 90% chance that we should be in an ice age. So unless we are in the rare 10% or, as he explained it, global warming (which many conservatives did not believe existed, because there didn't seem to be an effect present) is keeping us from having an ice age. But what we don't know is if we are completely neutral or if the global warming is heating the earth hotter than the ice age would be cooling the earth. In conclusion, by mistake, we have saved ourselves from an expected ice age, thus making us probably the most advanced human beings to ever live on this earth. (Save the Human Race. Drive an SUV. ??? )But we will never know. There may have been human beings whom have lived through an ice age by the effect of global warming, such as ourselves, billions of years ago, but was somehow entirely wiped out. But we will never know about them. It kind of makes you wonder how old this earth REALLY is. Not to mention being a 'downer'. To think that all the world's great accomplishments will disappear within millions of years, along with the fact that you ever existed.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The "Moon God" Seems Accurate-
It is true that I would like to portray the moon as our "God". Don't take me so literally. But it's almost as if the moon is looking out for us. If it weren't for the moon, our weather would be out of whack. The worst imaginable types of storms would occur frequently rather than in seasons, leaving us no time for safety preparations. It is said, could be simply myth, that more crimes are committed during a full moon. Also, women, I'm sure you've heard how the moon affects us. If you haven't, I don't want to tell you. But what's also curious, a certain energy we need, called Helium3, can be found on the moon. I have no idea why we need this energy, so don't ask. As the Art. Intell. Scientist. What does Art. Intell. have to do with this stuff? I guess I'm not smart enough to know.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Political Input:

In just one night in D.C., three crimes were committed. I think at least one resulted in a death and the others in injuries. Hmm.. That's odd. But aren't guns not allowed in Washington D.C.? Do the math. (Sorry for the sarcasm) It's not that people should own guns in self defense, it's that people should own guns, so not to become prey for the criminals. The weapon is merely symbolic. It's not that it would be used, but that it can be used. It is the fear that a man has equal or more power as yourself, as to what drives the criminals to prey on those who pose less of a threat, those without protection.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm reading a book called The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien. I love this one chapter in the book. It's not inspiring, but simply amazing to think about. It's about war. War is love, hate, hurt, happiness, pain, beauty, ugliness.. so many things that contradict themselves. It can either break a man or make a man or do both at the same time. Here's an interesting paragraph:

At its core, perhaps, war is just another name for death, and yet any soldier will tell you, if he tells the truth, that proximity to death brings with it a corresponding proximity to life. After a firefight, there is always teh immense pleasure of aliveness. The trees are alive. The grass, the soil - everything. All around you things are purely living, and you among them, and the aliveness makes you tremble. You feel an intense, out-of-the-skin awareness of your living self - your truest self, the human being you want to be and then become by the force of wanting it. In the midst of evil you want to be a good man. You want decency. You want justice and courtesy and human concord, things you never knew you wanted. There is a kind of largeness to it, a kind godliness. Though it's odd, you're never more alive than when you're almost dead. You recognize what's valuable. Freshly, as if for the first time, you love what's best in yourself and in the world, all that might be lost. At the hour of dusk you sit at your foxhole and look out on a wide river turning pinkish red, and at the mountains, beyond, and although in the morning you must cross the river and go into the mountains and do terrible things and maybe die, even so, you find yourself studying the fine colors on the river, you feel wonder and awe at the setting of the sun, and you are filled with a hard, aching love for how the world could be and always should be, but now is not.

Another quote:

The old rules are no longer binding, the old truths no longer true. Right spills over into wrong. Order blends into chaos, love into hate, ugliness into beauty, law into anarchy, civility into savagery.

There are no rules in war. No more morals. At least in Vietnam, the war in which he writes of and did serve in. Yet, the war he disagrees with. (I doubt our war is that bad. I've heard it's 99% boredom.)

Just an interesting thought...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Peace, Love, and Happiness!! Take Care!!!

It is Freedom of Religion! Let's keep it that way!

So if you haven't heard, the Supreme Court ruled that the Kentucky courthouse cannot display their Ten Commandments. But the Supreme Court said that it is not unconstitutional to display the Ten Commandments, like the one in their courtroom, as long as the religious content is not overemphasized. Therefore, the issue should be resolved on a case-by-case basis.

I do not agree. How can you tell when the religious content is overemphasized? All or nothing! I believe that you should keep religion out of our government. I don't care about the swearing with the Bible, because the Bible has been used in that way since America began. It is not religious at all. It is just something to swear upon. It's more symbolic than religious.
I know that Christianity is in our history but that doesn't mean a thing. America isn't about Chrisitanity, it's about equality and freedom of religion. If you will let the Ten Commandments be displayed, then you should let every single religion in the US display whatever they want. It's all about being constitutional, right? So just get rid of the Ten Commandments! Simple as that. For you Christians out there, we aren't attacking Christianity! It's not that we don't want Christianity to be displayed, it's that we want to be equal. And the easiest way is to not display any kind of religion. With nothing there, there's nothing to complain about. No arguements. Everything is fine. But it is this kind of attitude that to the extreme, can make religions seem prone to violence, like in the Mid-East. Just keep Church and State apart! No religion dominates. No problem.

C'mon people! If you want Freedom of Religion to work, then keep Church and State seperate. Besides, your religion should be between you and your religion. No one else needs to be exposed to your religion unless they want to.

This just burns me up! All these conservatives are calling the people that don't want the Ten Commandments in the courtrooms "Liberals" (Hello?! What am I? Conservative... I guess not on this..) and that they are "Anti-Christian". It's not that we're "Anti-Christian", it's that we want equality for all religions. Nothing against Christianity. Geeze... people keep thinking we're attacking their religion. We're not!

Thank you and have a nice day! :D

*~*Elvis Angel*~*

John Ambrose Fleming

I was listening to a mini radio while exercising outside when I picked up a station talking about John Ambrose Fleming. Of course, like many Americans, I had no clue who he was. But after listening awhile, it turns out, this guy was a very important inventor that has made an great impact on the 21st Century.

Back before Fleming's invention, computer chips all had wires and the computers took up whole rooms. Fleming was determined to create a smaller chip and to do that, he had to make it wireless. Many people believe it was impossible, but as we know, it isn't. He invented the diode vacuum tube and created the first micro chip. Which means, after this invention, computers can be made smaller and can be used for a wide variety things. Think of everything that is a computer. Even dishwashers had mini computers inside them. There are so many small computers and now, advanced computers in the 21st Century, yet no one knows who Fleming is. He should up there with Ford and Edison as far as popularity. But he's not.
So I just thought I'd let my reader's, at least, know who he is.

They weren't as big as 9/11, but it still happened, probably could have been more distructive. Three times in eight years. Now, it has been almost four years since 9/11, over two years since we went into Iraq, and we have not been attacked or threatened. Do you feel safer? I don't mean that we're not threatened or that we're safer now that Saddam is out of power, in a way we are, but it's because President Bush fought back. Just to be reminded that the US is more powerful can scare the terrorists. They resort to suicide bombings. Pathetic. This is a matter of national security.
I bought Pink Floyd The Wall, not exactly knowing what it was about. Then my friend and I were watching it and got so freaked out. The movie is messed up and we had no idea what it meant. We didn't even finish it because the dude... *shudders* started turning into a screaming, rotting dead guy.
I asked my sister if she knew the meaning to the movie, because she is a deep person and can usually see the true meaning to stories. You know what she told me? "You need to get high and watch it. Then you'll understand it."
AhHh! Now I'm a partier (party-er?), but I don't smoke...anything. I play soccer and you can't hurt your lungs like that, especially to understand a stupid movie. My friend and I responded,"Well, I guess we'll never know." I wonder if ... no I probably shouldn't say that. Coppers...

Well, dinner time! Ciao! or.. Chow!
*About the mood, you just have to read the last part of this post.*

My dad's dad died the other day of a heart attack. I never even met the guy. He left my grandma before my dad was born. But it's weird how you can feel a loss, even when you lose a man you don't know. I guess a loss opportunity to meet him. But it's also weird that he died the same year my grandma did and about a month apart.
We're taking things out of my grandma's house and we get to choose whatever we want out of the stuff that was left. I picked up some stuff that I gave her and a stuffed bunny that we gave her. I've been carrying the bunny all around the house, just thinking. I have to take of her "baby". (She called her stuffed animals "babies" whenever she .. wasn't thinking straight...).

My aunt sent me a letter today. It was full of newspaper clippings from August 18, 1977, two days after Elvis Presley's death and the day of his funeral for his fans. It's really cool and interesting. I'm going to frame my Elvis records with the newspaper clippings to go on the my Elvis Wall.

My sister got an intern job working for the Lt. Governor of Arkansas. She is going to major in political science in college and this job would be a good experience for her. I'm actually really excited. My family is a big political family. My sister volunteered to campaign for the Republican Party last year and she's still helping. There's a meeting coming up soon. I would usually go with her to the meetings, whenever I could. One time I went and there was one black guy there out of about 20 people (it's a district meeting, not really big). I'm just saying, you know how the Republican Party is usually made up of white people? Well maybe here's a start to get some diversity to the Republican Party. Or it will be just him. But he was so nice. My sister and I walked in and he pulled up two chairs for us, when we could have gotten them. He introduced himself and well, he was really nice.
I'm going to volunteer to help out soon, when I can find the time. I know I'm young, but man, I'm busy! I'm definately going to help out in 2008, though. And for anyone, I don't care who you are for, just as long as you're involved in politics, somewhat.

I e-mailed this new actor named Jake Abel (www.jakeabel.com) and he e-mailed me back. I thought it was sweet of him. I don't know how busy he is. This guy has some real potential. Check him out.

Ciao! Lots of love!!

*~*Elvis Angel*~*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Political Add-On:

I know a woman who's daughter and boyfriend is living off of her (the mom's) money. The daughter thought she was pregnant but it turned out she wasn't. The daughter and boyfriend decided that they wanted to have a baby, but knew they couldn't afford it. Then the daughter's friends started telling her how she could apply for Welfare, so that she could have the baby. So, she had to prove that she was poor enough. One requirement was that she had to show that her car was worth less than $2000. A friend of hers that works for Honda signed some paper to prove it. However the car was worth $4 or $5000, because her mother had bought it for her. So, she finally was able to apply for Welfare and now she's pregnant.
Now, first of all, my point is if Welfare wasn't there, she wouldn't go out of her way to get on Welfare. It's an example like this that shames me. Also, (not being racist or not discriminating) but I have seen many Mexicans on WIC and Welfare. I don't mind Mexicans coming into our country, but how is applying for WIC and Welfare contributing to society? (Please don't take it the wrong way)
It's not that I don't like that we have programs like Welfare and that I think we should get rid of it because otherwise people will take advantage of it, and some do. But it's that I think it should be changed a little bit. I know a family on WIC. It doesn't bother me. There is one woman trying to work to feed 6 people, including herself. But I just think that Welfare should be where the government temporarily provides money for you, while progressively educating you with skills for a certain job or for a variety of jobs and when you have a secure job, they would let you go on your own. However, in some situations, there is a person working but still can't afford enough to live by and in that case, I do agree with the government providing money. They would just have to find out the person's income and how many in the household and what they have to pay for to determine something like that, but the government doesn't want to take the time out to do that. With that plan, more people would be contributing to society and you can still take care of those who are unable to take care of themselves, or in that family's case, who can't take care of a household of 6.
I don't want to leave anyone behind, but I don't want to have those certain number of people who would take advantage of our government's money, which is the people's money.
If there is one thing I can say for everyone: Get educated. If you are still in school, try to do as best you can. Set goals and achieve them. Being educated is more important that boys. Although boys are nice. hehe... okay.. so maybe a little bit of boys... Boys for the summer. Anyways, just take advantage of school. Like with public schools, it's free, sort of. Take advantage and get an education. If you want to set this goal do it: get a scholarship. That'd be nice. Now for those in college, party, yes. But don't forget about the education part. heh And for parents or future parents, push your kids to their fullest ability. They don't have to be geniuses. Some probably can't make straight A's. But it's what they, individually, can accomplish. A child's education also involves parent involvement. Making sure they do their homework, helping them with any problems they have, disciplining them if you know they can do better, and awarding them when they do well. Discipline is also a key part. It's weird how that ties in, but it does. I like the democratic type of families, where the children do have a say (like agreeing on chores [say you have more than one child. Dividing chores between them], agreeing on bedtimes under certain circumstances, stuff like that) but the parents make and enforce the rules. That way, your kid feels important being involved, yet they are still disciplined. Parents don't be afraid to discipline your child. As long as you love them also, they will respect and love you back. "Tough Love" haha yea.. anyways...
Okay.. how'd I get on that subject? "Who are you to say how to parent?" Sorry, just mocking someone.. who doesn't want to listen to me because I'm not a parent, not anywhere close. Oh well...

Adios! Love you all! And thanks for reading down to this point and not giving into boredom. Hooray!! You may now go sit on the couch and watch TV, because that's what I'm going to do. lol TV's okay when school's out, right? Care to join me? Okay, but I call the remote! *sprints and dives for remote* *jumps up and down with glee* WTF? Whatever... TV time... Night night...

Flea markets are actually kind of cool. My sister and I went to a flea market just the other day and found some really awesome records: Tom Petty, Pink Floyd The Wall (That movie is so messed up!!), Elvis Presley, Bob Segar, Frank Sinatra, Queen, Dean Martin, REO Speedwagon, and the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. I don't have a record player, of course. But I saw one at RadioShack. My sister took all of my mom's Led Zeppelin records! Ah! Whatever...

Now I think I have Elvis everything. Posters, shirts, blanket, postcards, boxes, jewelry, records, 8 tracks, CDs, tapes, playing cards, purse... I can never stop. So addictive. And he's everywhere! Easy to find.

I just got out of my attic. *shudders* I probably have a mild case of arachnophobia. No lie. I walked in and there was a big... *shudders*... spider. I killed it. Yes... then there was another one. You know, I've heard that spiders don't travel in "packs" but why are they everywhere?! I could not go on Fear Factor. I would probably be more afraid of Eight-legged Freaks than The Exorcist. *shudders* I've only seen The Exorcist. That show was pretty freaky. Of course, I was hyper at the time. That doesn't go well with The Exorcist. She starts coming down the stairs all twisted and you're wondering how the hell she does that and when you can start to try doing. Okay, so I was thinking more along the lines of "Wtf?".

Let's get off that topic shall we!

Got to go to bed anyways! Night!

Soccer Problems

My club soccer team got second place in the State Cup. Of course, that's not saying much considering there were only two teams. *rolls eyes* haha The first place team didn't have enough players to go to District, so we got to go. Today was the first day of the tournament. We played Louisiana and North Texas and we were awesome! For us anyways. We beat the Louisiana team 2-1. For awhile, I thought it was going to be just 2-0. Four of our players were gone, so we had only two subs. But no offense to the players, I think we better without them. I don't mean it in a bad way, although it's hard to take it in a good way. sheesh. We were passing and moving and defending better than we had all season.

Then we played North Texas and got beat 3-0, which the loss was anticipated. North Texas is a great team! I'm actually proud that we held them only 3-0. Our younger ODP team, which includes three of our players, not including (I'm on the older team), lost to North Texas around 7-0. Two of our four missing players showed up for this game. I think it wasn't fair that one got to start when she only showed up for one practice and skipped the first game. The girl that played the first game in her position rightfully deserved that starting spot. In fact, I think she plays it better. Also, this player's (that showed up for the second game and not the first)mom is mean. She yells negatively at our girls. One time I yelled back for her to yell encouraging things and she just shut up. But she would yell, "RUN!! WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU OFFENSE?! RUN!!" Or she would get onto individual players like "Holly hustle!!!" It seems to be genetic because her daughter criticizes the team on the field when we mess up. Not positively either. Positive criticism is helpful. Negative criticism is hurtful. I may not talked positively about my team sometimes off the field, but you never, NEVER shout negative criticism at your own teammates during a game, or any other time. It ruins their morale. And what's the point of doing that when they had already messed up? Do you think that the negative criticism will work? No. Our game is mostly mental. What you do, is everytime someone does something good, you tell them "Good Job. Keep it up". When they lose the ball you say, "It's okay. We'll get it back". I can't wait until this fall when I get to play on the high school team, with a different coach, and all the favoritism and negative criticism will be absent.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been having weird mood swings or someting. One minute, I'll be really happy and laughing and having a good time, then the next I feel like crying. I don't get it. Or maybe I do. Dad's bringing home some my grandma's things and it just brings back memories. If I had one wish, that's all I need, one wish, I would wish to have my grandma, like she was five years ago, come back to earth for just a minute or two, so I could hug her. Even when she was alive the last few months of her life, she seemed lifeless. There was no emotion. All I want is a hug, full of emotion. It's been a month and I still don't think I'm over it.

Diary Entry:

I've been getting near tears remembering my grandma. I'd see a picture of her and remember her when she was well, wishing she could hug me one more time, with love, emotion. It's just not the same... it's not the same person, if you have no emotion. Emotions make you you. I feel like I owe it to grandma to visit poor ol' Mrs. Bradford in the nursing home. That she would be smiling down on me... if I believed in that. Why am I so selfish? Why do I want her here? Is it okay if I believe that she's smiling down upon me? Is it ok if I blow kisses to the sky? Is it okay if I cry at night, thinking about how much I have missed the REAL her, remembering seeing her deteriating? I want you back, grandma. I want you to hug me. Just come back one more time and hug me with all the strength, warmth, and love that you have left. Just a hug... then I think.. I could be okay.

Alzheimer's is one of the worst diseases. When I was ten, I wanted to grow up and find the cure to Alzheimer's disease for my grandma and for the rest of my family, considering it's genetic. Now, I don't think I can, that if it hasn't already been done, what makes me think that I can do it?

Just a lesson for you who read this, hug someone. Your mom, dad, sister, brother, grandma, grandpa, anyone. And don't let their annoying habits annoy you, love them for who they are, and be thankful.

Love to all! Don't forget your fathers on Father's Day! Only two more days left!

Gitmo

The issue of Gitmo is not about the US "torturing" the detainees. It's about national security.

These detainees aren't innocent. If they had the chance, I bet they would hurt you, an American. And us, Americans, are feeling sorry for the very people that what to hurt us?

First of all, the Pentagon said that we saved tens of thousands of lives from the information received from Gitmo. Second of all, these detainees are killers and a threat (for those who do not think they are a threat, please tell me how and why. I don't mean to sound ... mean.. or anything. I just want to know). Third of all, the "torturing" is called coerced interrogation. Everyone breaks. We're just breaking them to save lives. We're not cutting off limbs, breaking bones, there's so much I could name that we are NOT doing. If we were doing that, then yes, shut down the camp. But we're not. This coerced interrogation is their job. If it gets out of hand, I will want it shut down, too. But as far as I see, it is not.

Now, I don't necessarily feel right saying this, but how dare Dick Durbin compare the US, his own country, to Nazis. Should I name what all Hitler and the Nazis did? You want to compare the US to Nazis?! Just a little bit extreme and I don't appreciate the exaggeration. Not that Durbin really would, but it's like he is putting these detainees, these killers, before America, before all the people they have or want to harm.

These people aren't the ones you should be feeling sorry for. You should feel sorry for the victims and families of 9/11 (and make sure it doesn't happen again), the Kurds that were being killed by the Saddam regime, the people of Iraq who had to live during his regime, the friends and families of our troops. Why are you feeling sorry for the people who caused all this to happen? It breaks my heart. I know we're saving lives and yet, we're the bad guys, no matter what we do. It really does upset me.

What also upsets me are the other countries that can help but won't. They know about the evil doings of Saddam (too sickening to mention) and yet they sit around like the people of Iraq can take care of themselves. Like they can overthrow the regime. They can HELP!! But they won't! That! That is cold-hearted. To sit and watch and do nothing, when you know you can. That's one of the main reasons why I support this war. If I know I can help someone, anyone, especially save lives, then I will do it.

Gitmo is a matter of national security. Would you rather have a Gitmo detainee "tortured" or an American, or any other innocent life lost? If I am thinking the wrong way, correct me. But thinking logically, the connection is there.
